Adding a number to itself
A double is a number added to itself, like 3 + 3. Doubles are quick to remember!
1 + 1 = 2
2 + 2 = 4
3 + 3 = 6
4 + 4 = 8
5 + 5 = 10
A double adds a number to itself: 1+1=2, 2+2=4, 3+3=6… Doubles come up everywhere and are quick to learn. If you know a double, you can work out near-doubles too (3+4 is double 3, plus 1)!
