The parts of 3D shapes
3D shapes have faces (flat sides), edges and corners. Let’s look at a cube!
Faces: the flat sides (a cube has 6)
Edges: where faces meet
Corners: the pointy bits

A face is a flat side, an edge is where two faces meet, a corner (vertex) is a point. A cube has 6 faces. Describing 3D shapes by their faces, edges and corners is a Year 1 skill!
